Your Applicant Tracking System lets you collaborate with other system users within applicant files. A user can receive @mentions if they are assigned as a member of the hiring team for that job or they are a system administrator. The @mention feature can be used anywhere in an applicant file where there are comment areas, including individual applicant elements, stage workflow actions, or directly on the file's comment tab.
If you are tagged with an @mention in an applicant file to which you are assigned, it will show in the @mentions section of your Home tab. Once read, you can click the reply arrow to reply directly to the @mention. A copy of the message will be in the Comments tab in the corresponding applicant file and also recorded in the Stream.
If enabled, you will simultaneously receive a system-generated @mention email notification with the subject of "[Instance] Notifications for Job Title". It will contain both applicant and job details, your colleague's comment, and system links with direct access to the applicant file and your @mention notifications settings.
Using @mentions
Follow these steps to tag another member of the hiring team or your account admin:
- Open an Applicant File.
- In any comment box, type the @ symbol and the beginning letters of a user's name.
- Select a user from the list and add your comment.
Any comments added using an @mention will include the tagged user's assigned avatar color in the file. An entry of the comment with the @mention will be made in the Comments tab as well as the Streams tab.
@mention email notifications
Follow these steps to edit your @mentions email notifications:
- Click your user profile drop-down (upper right corner) and choose Profile.
- Select the Notification tab.
- Choose your notification preference: Yes or No
- Click Save.
Note: The @mention feature is a user preference setting that must be made by each user. By default, @mention email notifications for new users will be turned on. Use caution when disabling the @mention email notifications, as it will hide all @mentions from the system. However, they will be visible in the Stream and appropriate sections within the applicant files.
